Antique Carved Mother of Pearl Sweetheart Pins Set of 3 Star Pattern Scalloped Edge C-Clasp Pre-1910
An exquisite, matching set of three authentic antique mother-of-pearl (MOP) sweetheart/waist pins dating to the turn of the 20th century. Each pin is beautifully crafted from thick, high-quality natural shell featuring a highly iridized luster that shifts elegantly in the light.
Design & Craftsmanship:
The face of each pin boasts an engraved three-star accent pattern bordered by a delicately scalloped, ruffled perimeter.
Historical Authenticity:
The reverse features an early safety-pin style mechanism anchored directly to the shell with a factory-poured lead/metal solder pad. The pin stems lock into an open, hand-formed "C-clasp" without a safety catch, definitively dating this beautiful set to the pre-1910 era.
Historically used as lingerie pins or collar fasteners for delicate Victorian/Edwardian blouses, these pieces make an exceptional addition to any antique jewelry collection. They are perfect to wear today on lapels, lace scarves, or collars.
